REFUND & cancellations POLICY
& PAYMENT TERMS

Talking about cancellations, refunds and payment terms are not our favourite topic because we want to focus on envisioning welcoming you at Green Peace Inn and having a wonderful, recharging and inspiring time together. We understand that at times not everything goes ahead as planned though. In the description of our retreats, you can find this sentence: “You will take back 100% responsibility for your own life and meet your true self.” That responsibility starts for both of us once you commit to booking the retreat and we want you to be fully informed in this variable time about our policies relating to any possible changes.

GENERAL CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

If you book with us and want to cancel your booking, you will be entitled to the following reimbursements.

  • Greater than 5 months prior to the retreat:
    The deposit will be refunded, minus a 10% administration, transaction, and bank fee.
    (To refund a booking involves many people and changes in our bookkeeping, and so on, it’s NOT a single click for us)

  • Between 3 and 5 months prior to the retreat:
    The deposit is non-refundable but can be used as a credit towards another retreat. Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Less than 3 months prior to the retreat:
    Only the deposit is non-refundable, but with prior approval, it can be transferred to another person to attend the same retreat.

  • Refunds will be done only through the Original Mode of Payment and will be processed within 10 to 45 days, depending on the issuing bank of the credit card

This is also valid if there are any natural disasters, if you miss your flight, if you are sick, if the airline cannot provide its service, or for any other reason.

If you want safety for your travel, please sign up for travel insurance yourself. So they will cover your costs.

Please understand that we also have to plan and pay for rent, renovations, marketing costs, shopping (we buy many things months in advance), and employee salaries year-round, even though we can only operate for a few months each year because of the rainy season. When we have to refund a lot of money because of something beyond our control, it can put us in a situation where we may have to close the retreat centre forever. That's why we are now getting stricter with the policies. Since 2017, it has happened a few times where we had to refund money, which put us in very uncomfortable positions, and we worked for no salary for some years.
When we do get many bookings for some months, we reduce our marketing costs during those periods, and then it can be more difficult for us to refill the spot afterwards, which is why we cannot pay back the deposit a few months before. We already planned with this money and changed our marketing plan.

We tried to be as transparent as possible with you, so that you understand our position as well.

PAYMENT TERMS*

Deposit

In order to reserve your space at the retreat, we ask for a 60% deposit to be paid upfront. The balance is then required upon arrival at the centre in Sri Lanka.

After booking your spot with us, you can pay us directly online.
If you wonder why the parent company is in the U.A.E. and is called “WWLOVEDO FZE”, it’s simply to keep our business running and to pay fair salaries for our employees and workers in Sri Lanka. Because of inflation, prices in Sri Lanka rose sharply, so we increased salaries, and our operating costs rose as well. That’s why we chose to open a second business in the U.A.E.
At the same time, Sri Lanka does not have sufficient EUR or USD, and we need EUR to purchase many goods from Europe. So we need to have an EURO Account in another country to do this. Otherwise, we are unable to import anything.

If you are based in the EU, we accept payment via bank transfer in Euros.
In any other case, we provide an online payment link.

Balance

The balance (remaining 40%) for Food and Accommodation is payable upon arrival of the booked retreat at Green Peace Inn, Sri Lanka. This can be paid in cash or by credit card.

We accept Euro, Swiss Franc, USD or Sri Lankan Rupee in cash.

*Please note we do not cover any third-party transfer charges or currency fluctuations. The deposit paid to husma holistic breath retreats (WWLOVEDO FZE, U.A.E) covers the administration fees for the retreat and the balance paid to Green Peace Inn Private Limited, Sri Lanka, covers the accommodation & food costs.

About husma

Husma Retreats was founded by Alex & Martina while running their own yoga retreat center on the beach in Sri Lanka (Green Peace Inn - Yoga | Health | Retreats) for over 6 years. The intention behind creating a new project was to make it more international, to bring their retreats to other countries, and to have a stronger focus on life-changing breathwork and yoga practices. All their knowledge from holding various retreats and completing training courses from around the world comes together in husma retreats. 

In Sinhala (the native language in Sri Lanka), husma means  "breath", which is the core focus of all husma retreats.
