Structure of the evening
First, we talk about meditation and practice two techniques. These two techniques are the base for mastering the mind and body.
Directly after, we dive into the theory of breathwork, why we should breathe consciously, and how it helps us to live more at ease with our emotions. After the theory, we go directly into a 1-hour conscious connected breathwork session.
We end the workshop with a final meditation and sharing.

If it’s a “practice session”, we will skip the theory part on-site. A few days before the event, you will get access to video tutorials of the theory part via mail. We will use the 2-hours we have on-site to meditate and do a 1-hour breathwork session.

Even if you have experience in breathwork or meditation, this workshop can bring you a lot of new insights.

Breakthrough with Breathwork

The breath is one of our body's most self-evident functions. Regulated by our autonomic nervous system, it functions without our intervention and is often ignored. The breath significantly impacts our mental health and physical wellbeing.

Our days are often packed, and we have this habit of pushing down our true emotions just to continue functioning in this world. This survival strategy may work in the short term, but when we don't process these emotions and continue to suppress them over and over again, this energy gets trapped in our bodies and can turn into physical, mental, or emotional pain.

Breathwork – Conscious Connected Breath

The Conscious Connected Breath can be described as an active meditation that helps to reduce the chatter in the mind and release emotion through the practice of this physical breathing technique. Breathwork acts as a portal and door to our internal and external worlds. In one session, you can create space and expansion along with an opportunity for shifts, movement, insights, and change.

It gives you a chance to come back to your body, which holds us so dearly together and works non-stop so that we can exist here and now.

It is beautiful and nourishing to do this in a group setting.

Master the mind with Meditation

To be present will help us in so many situations in life. If we learn to choose how to think and only use the mind for what we want, there will be a lot less suffering in us.

Most of us know how annoying our minds can be. Judging ourselves, judging others, judging our surroundings, or just giving negative views on what we see. Instead of truly seeing what is, we often see through the mind because the mind is giving us feedback based on the past.

Situations are happening to us and the mind is reacting as it has in similar situations we have experienced before. It is using autopilot to be more efficient. Mastering this behaviour is important and greatly beneficial.

Meditation Basics

In this workshop, I will teach you the basics of meditation and two fundamental meditation techniques. These techniques will help you reduce stress, increase focus, enhance self-awareness, improve emotional well-being, better sleep, and boost creativity and overall inner peace.

Combining Breathwork with Meditation gives us a toolset to live a self-determined life.

My passion is to discover the power of the breath, emotions, mind, and anything our bodies consume. I spent more than 13 years practising meditation, which for me, is the foundation for almost everything.

I have completed several yoga teacher trainings with different teachers, and to deepen my knowledge of working with the breath and the body, I have completed the Breathwork Teacher Training at Alchemy of Breath with Anthony Abbagnano.

During the last years, I also studied with BioDynamic Breathwork (BBTRS), Wim Hof and Dan Brule.

From attending many retreats, workshops, and courses around the world, I am combining everything I learned and will be sharing from these traditions, which have been further developed through my own practice.

From November to April, I have managed my own breathwork retreat centre in Sri Lanka for the last six years, where I guide people through a life-changing process using breathwork, yoga, meditation, and healthy food.

By running my own web & IT company for over ten years, I also know the challenges of a busy and stressful life.
